We should not be amazed, (we have seen what great results young mothers achieve time and time again), but Katharine is extremely proud of her growing little army of Hypnobirthing babies.

My baby arrived 11 days early. We had been out to dinner and a movie, and I was just going to sleep. The contractions started at 11 p.m. and my waters broke immediately. I rang the hospital, and they said: “We expect to see you in 24 hours,” but right from the beginning my contractions were at 5 minute intervals and 1 minute duration, so I rang them again, and went in immediately. My baby was born after a 5hr 50 min labour, weighing 8lns5ozs. I had a very light epidural when he moved into the wrong position in order to turn him but, apart from that, the techniques you taught definitely worked and I needed no other drugs.

The actual birth lasted 3 hours. The surges were very strong because I had been induced, but my partner kept me very focussed with the HypnoBirthing techniques and I did not need an epidural or caesarean. We also played the CD continuously in the background. The mid-wives and doctor were all very amazed that the actual labour went so quickly and that I didn’t need further interventions

Samuel Born Naturally

My husband Pete and I attended your hypno birthing class in Primrose Hill in January and I wanted to write and thank you so much for the classes. Little Samuel was born on 17 March weighing 7lbs 13 oz with a fully natural birth (thankfully despite being 13 days past the 'due date'). It was a 14 hour labour, with no complications, no need for pain relief and was the wonderful and positive experience I had hoped for. I used many of the hypno techniques and am certain that these made all the difference to his birth. Sam is feeding extremely well (and has more energy than his parents!!) and is a beautiful, calm baby.
