All I can say is wow.

Hynobirthing rocks!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I had an induced labour (waters being broke and then an artificial drip) and for 12 hours it was marvellous. No need for pain killers (and I wasn't being heroic). My dad was my birth partner and our practice together made us the perfect team. I totally zoned out, and felt very empowered and happy. Your positive birth statements were always in my head.

The most important thing for me was not knowing how much I was dilated.

This was proven at 11 hours when the doctor (who completely supported hynoborthing as his wife had carried it out) had to tell me that I was still only 4 cm dilated and they were concerned for the baby's health.

Eventually I had an emergency c section and although a few tears when I found out and I then had some gas and air as my zone collapsed.

But it was still perfect.

As soon as I accepted that a c section was our way and it was best for my daughter, dad and I went into hynobirthing again and did breathing and calm positive thoughts.

It was totally perfect and I am awe of its power.

Having a few problem breast feeding (v sore nipple) so have ordered your breastfeeding cd and have been to see an NCT counsellor.

But I just wanted to say thank you, thank you, thank you.

The marvellous Ailsa (born on the 5th June, 4pm, weighing 9Ibs 10ozs and was 55cms long). She is just perfect.

I gave birth in March using the techniques you taught me.

The whole experience was utterly amazing. I hired a private midwife and had my baby at home.

I managed the labour on my own without giving a thought to pain relief, in silence, and for the most part pretty motionless.

My midwife said she had never witnessed Hypnobirthing working so successfully.

I sat for 2 hours on a foot stool and dilated to 10cms in an almost euphoric state. I had to keep telling my husband and my midwife I was contracting as apparently I was just breathing and smiling with my eyes closed all the time.

It felt as if I had just unlocked a big secret and it really was so easy to just let things flow.

After 6 or 7 hours my baby was born under water in a birthing pool in my lounge.
