The actual birth lasted 3 hours. The surges were very strong because I had been induced, but my partner kept me very focussed with the HypnoBirthing techniques and I did not need an epidural or caesarean. We also played the CD continuously in the background. The mid-wives and doctor were all very amazed that the actual labour went so quickly and that I didn’t need further interventions
They said the surges were very strong because of all the hormones I had been given. Yes, there was initial pain with every surge because it was involuntary, but then my partner was immediately present to bring me back into focus and talking to the baby. The visualisations and the breathing exercises really worked, and although the thought of pain relief did cross my mind it was very brief. Thank you very much!!! I have recommended it to all my friends. Michelle

How does Hypnobirthing work?Hypnobirthing is a completely logical and extremely effective tried-and-tested method that lets you discover the joy and magic of birth, and is much more than just self-hypnosis or hypnotherapy. It is deeply relaxing and effective, and allows your mind and your body to work in harmony, the way nature intended. Hypnobirthing is a complete ante-natal course. |
