Yesterday Rob & I attended Day 1 of a 2-day course in Hypnobirthing. Although neither of us knew what to expect (and Rob was only really coming because I’d asked him to support me) …we both thought it was BRILLIANT!!

Rob rang one of his best mates who’s expecting at the same time as us to recommend it, straight after the course finished, and I thought you might appreciate knowing about it.

The lady who runs it is Katharine Graves and she can be reached on 0845 337 9149. Yesterday’s session was held right next to Waterloo Station and she also runs group classes in NW London, Teddington, Banstead (Surrey) and Andover / Newbury / Marlborough or private classes by appointment. She’s based quite near to us in Fosbury, Marlborough.

Have a good week!
Katie

How does Hypnobirthing work?

Hypnobirthing is a completely logical and extremely effective tried-and-tested method that lets you discover the joy and magic of birth, and is much more than just self-hypnosis or hypnotherapy.

It is deeply relaxing and effective, and allows your mind and your body to work in harmony, the way nature intended. Hypnobirthing is a complete ante-natal course.

Real HypnoBirthing Stories

My baby arrived 11 days early.  We had been out to dinner and a movie, and I was just going to sleep.  The contractions started at 11 p.m. and my waters broke immediately.  I rang the hospital, and they said:  “We expect to see you in 24 hours,”  but right from the beginning my contractions were at 5 minute intervals and 1 minute duration, so I rang them again, and went in immediately.  My baby was born after a 5hr 50 min labour, weighing 8lns5ozs.  I had a very light epidural when he moved into the wrong position in order to turn him but, apart from that, the techniques you taught definitely worked and I needed no other drugs.
