An account of the birth by Larissa, after her HypnoBirthing Course.

"Strong surges were happening about 3 minutes apart from 3pm (I wasn’t expecting to go into labour in the day!) so I called Mark home from work.  A friend picked up my eldest son from school for me.  When Mark got home he was packing a bag for the boys to take with my sister who was going to look after our boys for us.

Just wanted to say a huge Thank you for all that you have done for us and your contribution to the perfect birth of our son!

After I spoke to you on the phone, I kept slipping in and out of labour - seemed to have surges at night and then they would go - goodness knows how many balloons I filled!

Real HypnoBirthing Stories

My baby was born a week early at home on 14th May at 6.01a.m. in 2hrs45mins (first baby) weighing 8lbs5ozs. It was supposed to be a water birth, but we only had time to get about 4ins of water in the pool.

My waters broke, and I woke up with strong surges and that was how it stayed throughout. When I phoned the midwife she said things like, ‘Have a bath and try to take some rest’, and she actually arrived 10 mins before George was born.

It was lovely. There was no pain. It was incredible. It was just so positive – the whole experience.

George is very contented.
