Hope you are all well. Sorry it’s taken a while to get round to sending
this, but wanted to let you all know that baby Jessica was born on
March 10th, 7lb, all healthy, pink and screaming!
We were so
close to our perfect home birth, but in the end it wasn’t meant to be –
I successfully laboured at home, got to 10 cm dilated, and waters
broke, with lovely midwife, who fully embraced the hypnobirthing
techniques: she was quiet and discreet, and only examined me twice, and
helped with the gentle touch massage (when Riaan had to go outside and
rescue the dustbins halfway through the night - it was the night of the
really big storm!)!!. Riaan was brilliant and I have to say all the
practice really paid off, we were both calm and relaxed, and what
surprised me the most was how powerful all the affirmations were –
anytime I felt tired or any doubts crept into my mind, there were the
affirmations popping into my head to keep me back on track.

Dearest Katharine. We hope you're well. We're so sorry we missed our second hypno-birthing session on Saturday - but you could say i was putting what we'd learned the previous week into practice!! My waters broke on Saturday morning at 2.30 am and so, as you were teaching more hypno birthing we were delivering our new son, Blake Nathaniel Evans!! I have to say, and from the bottom of my heart, that even just the one session of hypno birthing and listening to the CD in the week before, helped immensly.

Yesterday Rob & I attended Day 1 of a 2-day course in Hypnobirthing. Although neither of us knew what to expect (and Rob was only really coming because I’d asked him to support me) …we both thought it was BRILLIANT!!
Rob rang one of his best mates who’s expecting at the same time as us to recommend it, straight after the course finished, and I thought you might appreciate knowing about it.

At last, and it feels as though your babies may all be teenagers by now, I am delighted to report the safe arrival of our baby boy, Gil.
He arrived last Monday (St Patrick's Day) 14 days from his due date having been jigged into action. I had just the first pessary and then he raced into the world with a surprisingly quick labour. The 2nd stage was estimated as 3 hours although I was not in fact examined after being 1-2 cm so we are not sure from when technically we should count.

My husband Pete and I attended your hypno
birthing class in Primrose Hill in January and I wanted to write and thank you
so much for the classes. Little Samuel was born on 17 March weighing 7lbs 13
oz with a fully natural birth (thankfully despite being 13 days past
the 'due date'). It was a 14 hour labour, with no complications, no need for
pain relief and was the wonderful and positive experience I had hoped for.
I used many of the hypno techniques and am certain that these made all the
difference to his birth. Sam is feeding extremely well (and has more
energy than his parents!!) and is a beautiful, calm baby. Thank you again, Sally & Pete
