Stretch Mark Lotion and Babysitting

March 3, 2010 – 4:37 pm

I thought I’d tell you about one of the new Katharine Botanicals products as well.  This is the Stretchmark Cream, and it is packed with good things:

Apricot Kernel Oil - easily absorbed by the skin and high in ply-unsaturated fatty acids

Jojoba Oil - softens and lubricates the skin

Calendula - has well known healing properties and is an anti-inflammatory anti-oxidant

Shea Butter - is a wonderfully soothing emollient

Rosa Rubiginosa - rich in unsaturated fatty acids and a superb natural hydrating treatment

Sweet Orange - essential oil produced from orange peel and exellent for toning the skin, along with many other beneficial properties

Algae Extract - natural seaweed collagen (collagen is the human body’s main connective tissue) to enhance tissue development, strengthen blood vessels, and moisturise the skin

Lime Essential Oil - for improved skin tone and prevention and treatment of cellulite

Sounds good, doesn’t it.  And it is!  It’ll be here within a couple of weeks, and I’ll let you know when it’s available.

On a more immediate note, this weekend it will all be very practical.  I’m looking after my small grandson, Nicholas, (aged 2 yrs 4 mns) while his parents are away.  I had a very clever idea and decided to take him to stay with his even smaller cousin, Kate, (2 years) so he’ll be safely in a childproof house and they can have a great time getting to know each other.  I think Kate usually wakes up before Nicholas, so they’ll probably compromise on the earliest possible time.  Oh well, much easier than looking after him on my own.
