Technology trials and tribulations!

I’m a Hypnobirthing teacher, and that means I teach Hypnobirthing. I love doing it, and the reports back from the mothers I teach are heartwarming and wonderful, BUT there’s all the work that goes on behind the scenes, and that involves technology. I have a beautiful CD all ready to record about breast feeding. I’ve worked on it for some time, and I’m sure you’ll love it, BUT recording it involves using my minidisc player and the downloading it onto my PC and sending it to my webdesigner to load onto the website as a podcast. Easy? Yes! Until you come to the point where it won’t work and there appears to be absolutely no indication anywhere what to do about it.

The same thing happens with my flip video which effortlessly records video messages to put on YouTube. The recording is effortless, but not the down and up loading.

However, I have solved the problem. Rather than waste hours of my time when I could be making Hypnobirthing even better, I have two young men of 18 and 20 who will come and effortlessly do in 5 minutes what I have been struggling for a week to achieve.

Division of labour! I’ll stick to what I’m good at which is teaching you how to take responsibility for your birth so that it is calm and gentle. That’s what really excites me.
